Canon R6 mirrorless camera

I don't normally do reviews as they bore me stupid but I'll give it a go lol.

Mirrorless is new to me so will be having some fun along the way, I will be comparing to me old 7d mk2 and the issues I had with it.

Well, the R6 is the best camera I have ever used and I've been doing photography for 40 odd years.

It is a 7D MK2 on steroids for sports, but with the image quality of the 1Dx mk3 but not the weight and size. It's a camera which lets me do as I wish, unlike the 7d which was blind.

You just can't go wrong with the R6 and I'm sure the R5 would be the same.

Buy one with confidence.

My wonky 7D mk2

A quick rundown regarding my last camera, the Canon 7D mk2, owed since 2013, a camera that had so many issues that it taught me new ways to use cameras.

It's faults included, shutter failure three times, a twisted mirror box, faulty autofocus sensor and two Dc to DC converters. Sent it to canon repair shops, all said they could not get the camera to maintain focus. Numerous lenses would not work, from 3rd party to Canon's lenses.

When photographing, could not use most lenses wide open. The tracking would be a hit or miss, static subjects would require around 8-15 shots and Tight DOF images were impossible along with manual focus.

I spent so long using a camera with so many faults I became skilled in predicting the problems, either but the sound of the shutter or on a given subject with specific lenses.

I used to think to myself, and I wish that camera would work with me, not against me. That's the reason why I waited so long after finding that mirrorless was on its way.

test photos, all handheld, direct from the camera
